About SEV
Who Are We?
SEV (Social Education Victoria) is a professional association established in 1970 for all who are interested in teaching about society and environment using integrated approaches to Social Education course content. Until 2007, the association was known as VASST (Victorian Association of Social Studies Teachers).
Vision Statement
That Social Education is an essential component of a balanced P-12 curriculum as it develops critical understandings, values and skills which are essential learnings for all students.
Mission Statement
To be an effective educational organisation which provides; leadership and promotes quality teaching and learning in Social Education.
