Ethos
Ethos is the quarterly magazine of SEV. It contains plenty of useful articles, ideas and advice on teaching Social Education. All SEV members receive Ethos for free but individual copies are also available from SEV for $15 per copy.

VCE International Studies Units 3 & 4 – update available Term 3, 2010

An accessible, innovative resource offering an alternative revision mode, particularly valuable for aural learners.
The VCE International Studies Units 3 & 4 Exam Revision Podcasts provide a review of the VCE International Studies Units 3 & 4 course and examination preparation tips. The five podcasts cover the four Areas of study and the final examination. Within each podcast key terms are identified and key knowledge is reviewed using a range of contemporary and historical examples including quotes from political theorists.
Each podcast:
- Can be copied by teachers for circulation to their students
- Is an MP3 file that can be played on any MP3 player or computer
- Is supported by the text of each audio file
- Is of approximately 40 minutes duration

Revision Guide: VCE International Studies: Units 3 & 4 - update available Term 3, 2010

The International Studies Revision Guide has been written for students studying VCE International Politics: International Studies, Unit 3&4. The text is designed to revise all of the important aspects of the VCE International Studies course and addresses the outcomes, key knowledge and skills for all areas of study. Although it is not designed to be used as the sole source of material for undertaking the International Studies examination, this text provides an overview of the course. Students can revise their knowledge of international relations, key knowledge and skills. It offers opportunities for exam revision and practise.

VCE Trial Exams
2010 Trial Exams are now available. SEV is selling three trial examination papers produced to support VCE International Studies, National Politics and Sociology teachers. The format is designed to closely resemble the end of year exam papers in these subjects. The exams are strictly for sale to teachers and schools only.
