The pre-exam check-in: A two-part PD session for teachers focused on guiding their students in end of year examination preparations

Both sessions are aimed at all teachers of Global Politics Units 3 and 4, and will include exam tips and tricks based on the assessing of the 2021 VCAA Global Politics exam. These sessions will act as a chance to hear an overview of the course, share revision strategies with colleagues, and really put our heads together to ensure we can best meet the revision needs of our students at the pointy end of an extremely tough VCE. This professional learning will be delivered via Zoom.

Part 1: Unit 3 recap – Monday, 6 September, 6.00pm – 8.00pm

Bernadette and Nicholas will guide teachers in revisiting both areas of study within Unit 3: Global Actors, with a focus on Study Design requirements, revision note tips, exam strategy hints.

Part 2: Unit 4 recap – Wednesday, 8 September, 6.00pm – 8.00pm

Bernadette and Nicholas will repeat the Unit 3 re-cap format, however this time with an emphasis on the areas of study within Unit 4: Global Challenges

Both parts will follow the same layout, including a 45 minute exploration on each relevant area of study and then a facilitated 30 minute open forum session, where PD attendees can ask further questions, share their own tips, strategies, techniques and resources
